Reliable freelancing platforms for AI and automation work

Featured Replies

Between Upwork and Fiverr, which one works better for AI, automation, or RPA services? Anyone with real experience, what has actually worked for you? Pros, cons, and any other platforms worth trying in this niche?

From my experience Fiverr is easier to start on but Upwork brings higher quality clients in AI and automation. If you are doing RPA or custom workflows, Upwork usually gives better long term opportunities.

I have used both Upwork and Fiverr for AI automation work and honestly Upwork has worked better for long term clients. Fiverr is good for quick gigs but Upwork feels more stable if you want serious RPA or automation projects.

Honestly, I stopped focusing only on marketplaces. For AI automation and RPA, a lot of good clients do not even come from Upwork or Fiverr anymore. I started getting better results from direct outreach and LinkedIn where businesses actually need automation solutions, not just cheap freelancers.

Upwork for this niche better clients, real rates ($75-150/hr) and Fiverr is a race to the bottom also try Toptal and LinkedIn direct pitching beats both platforms long term.
