Not sure if I should learn through courses first or just jump in, and whether this is a solid path for someone new

You’re not alone...I feel a bit lost too. Some blog posts suddenly perform well and even bring leads through LLMs, while others with the same effort and SEO process just don’t take off. Traditional search also feels less stable than before.

My biggest win this year? Saying no to a $15K project that felt wrong. Integrity is expensive but it compounds.

For me, it was failure. I used to fear it a lot, but I realised later that every mistake actually teaches you something you can’t learn from success.

You’re partly right..there’s definitely a lot of bot traffic online, and click fraud does exist in some cases, which means not every ad impression is truly seen by a real person but that doesn’t mean ads are useless. A well planned campaign can still reach real audiences and deliver solid results
