Cold DMs used to freak me out if I'm being honest. Felt like I was just another random person annoying someone who didn't ask to hear from me.So I stopped doing that.Instead I started paying attention. Like actually paying attention. One guy I followed posted about his newsletter and I noticed a small typo. That's it. Just a typo. I told him and he replied in like five minutes. We ended up chatting for a while.Another creator I respected was talking about something they were stuck on. Nothing major, just a small thing. I sent them a quick thought and didn't expect anything back. Now we talk every couple weeks and share ideas.Turns out nobody wants to be sold to in a DM. But most people are happy to talk if you give them a reason. One small helpful thing no pitch and no genda.Try it and see if it changes how you think about reaching out.😀
