Do you give away everything in blog posts or hold back for the paid product?

Featured Replies

I am struggling with content strategy. If I give away my best stuff for free, why would anyone buy? But if I hold back, the free content feels thin. Where do you draw the line?

Give away the what and the why. Sell the how and the done with you. If your free content is genuinely helpful, people trust you enough to pay for implementation.

I used to hold back and it hurt my authority. Now I share generously and my paid products sell better because people see I know what I am talking about. Generosity scales.

I give away everything except the framework that ties it together. The individual tactics are free. The system is paid. Nobody wants to assemble the puzzle themselves.

This is the exact tension I feel every time I write. I am either too generous or too stingy. The framework vs tactics distinction is a helpful way to think about it.
