If I don’t get feedback on my writing, I feel like I lose connection with the reader. That’s why I usually stick to shorter pieces under 900 words until I build that sense again.

I don’t agree..you need to start building interest in your work early, or no one will know it exists later. Blog, grow a mailing list, and engage with your niche communities consistently.

The first step is finishing a project. If the work is good, even a small audience becomes much easier to find.
