The side of email work people don’t really talk about

Is leaving Gmail actually a mistake, or are we just swapping one risk for another with smaller providers? Privacy is great, but long term stability matters too.

Gmail has a host of problems. I moved away from hotmail/microsoft for the same reasons I moved away from gmail/google.

I still use my gmail accounts but not for anything related to finances including shopping. I switched to an encrypted e-mail service instead.

Gmail isn’t private

Is this true? I have been out of the loop with e-mail clients for a while. I kind of just make some and forgot about it. I mostly use Gmail though. Now I am thinking maybe I should move away? What are the issues with them and the privacy concerns?

Yes, they have been caught actually using their AI system to comb through private e-mails. I would not trust them as a platform at all. I don't even use Google to do searches anymore, I use Brave.

Oh gosh! I am going to be switching away from them entirely then. I had no clue. I guess I should be keeping up with this more. I am seeing all sorts of articles about it after doing a quick search, this is terrible!
