Is leaving Gmail actually a mistake, or are we just swapping one risk for another with smaller providers? Privacy is great, but long term stability matters too.

I moved away from hotmail/microsoft for the same reasons I moved away from gmail/google. I still use my gmail accounts but not for anything related to finances including shopping. I switched to an encrypted e-mail service instead.

I don't even use Google to do searches anymore, I use Brave.

I guess I should be keeping up with this more. I am seeing all sorts of articles about it after doing a quick search, this is terrible!
