So I found a domain I am interested in for a website idea I have. Normally, I wouldn't spend more than $20 a year on a domain with a renewal being under $50. This one however is much higher. For the first year it would be $35 but the second year and beyond, it would be $96. I am not sure if I want to spend that much a year on a domain I may not even end up sticking with.

One of my sites keeps having this happen. Both are on the same server which is confusing me. I figured if it was happening on one, it would happen on the other but this is not the case. It doesn't happen all the time either. It seems to be at random and comes and goes. Anyone know what could be causing this?

I have two blogs that used to do amazingly and now they don't do anything in terms of traffic or earnings. I am wondering if something happened in the last 5 or 6 years that could have caused this. Everything was looking up and increasing on my sites and then out of nowhere, they tanked!

I never actually put much time into this, I probably should have. It is something recommended a number of times online to boost traffic to blogs and other websites. I am just not sure where to begin with this. I have had email updates in the past but because they were seldom clicked on, I did away with it and never looked into other options but now I think I should. Where do I start with doing something like this?

I have heard of people doing this and many of the big companies have. They will buy the misspelled URL as well as other domains. So for example, they will have WEBSITE.com, WEBSITE.net, etc. or variations of misspelled words. I know if you go to Twitter.com, for the longest time it redirected you to X. This makes sense to keep it.

I am curious. I brought it up in another thread only after just recently finding out not a lot of people seem to know about it. Most people seem to just use built in plugins on WordPress or other third party options for websites built custom or elsewhere. What I like about Matomo is I can set up the website and track all my domains in one place instead of having to rely on different platforms and metrics.

I'm considering WordPress for my business website, but I'm unsure if the extra setup, maintenance, updates, and learning curve are worth it. For a simple business site, would platforms like Webflow or Squarespace be a better and easier choice?

The costs of all my sites has gone up every year and I have moved around to different hosting companies but everyone tells me I just need to self-host and it will save me tons of money. Right now I am spending $670 a month just on hosting. A friend of mine said I could be spending less than $100 if I did it all myself. Does anyone self-host? What are the pros and cons of it? (Outside from saving money)

I know a lot of people still rely on e-mails and newsletters to boost sales and traffic. I am just curious what things actually work to get people to not only open the e-mails, but click on links in them. I personally seldom do this unless it is some sort of sale I am interested in.

Had a plugin update kill my entire site last week with white screen of death. Client emails piling up and I have no idea what's caused it and don't know how to fix it. Three hours of panic, restoring backups and googling error codes later it was back up. Still don't fully know what happened. Anyone else got a tech problem they've been putting off fixing? Drop it here and maybe someone's dealt with the same thing.

Is leaving Gmail actually a mistake, or are we just swapping one risk for another with smaller providers? Privacy is great, but long term stability matters too.

I want a better way to track clicks, bounce rate, traffic, and so on. I have a few WordPress sites but I also have a few that are not WordPress. I would honestly prefer to just have everything done in one place for me for all my sites. Is there anything out there like this that isn't expensive... preferably free?

I’ve used Indeed but didn’t get much from it. LinkedIn helped me get a temp job, and I even got one from Craigslist but I quit last week. I also tried ZipRecruiter, Monster, Glassdoor, and FlexJobs with no luck. Any other good job sites I should try?

I am considering setting up a website to run alongside my YouTube/Rumble channel. I probably won't do it right away but I am just thinking of ideas. So anyways, is this something worth doing in 2026? Or should I just stick to using places like Instagram, TikTok, and X to promote things?

I’m just curious, do cracked plugins really carry virus risks? I’ve been a bit worried about security and how often people actually run into issues with them.

I have a small business I have been working on. I have everything ready to go including the website and social accounts set up. I am just hung up on the domain. The one I originally wanted is taken and far too expensive. My business name, logo, etc. are all done so now I have to figure out a way to match the domain to it without spending a fortune on the domain itself. How should I go about doing this? Any tips?

I decided to use WordPress moving forward since it is free and I am able to understand it having worked with it previously. I am just not sure which web store plugin is best. There seems to be more than I remembered. I won't be selling physical items to start. They are digital. Does anyone have experience with running a shop through WordPress and can recommend me the best plugin for the job?

Tried switching hosts and my site crashed for a day Moved my WordPress site to save money. Didn't check if the new host supported my email plugin. Big mistake, contact forms broke and newsletter signups stopped working. Spent six hours fixing it. Ended up switching back, refund is still pending. Learned my lesson: always check plugin compatibility before migrating. Anyone know a reliable host under $20 that plays nice with WordPress plugins?

I am rebuilding my site and debating whether to go custom or use a solid template. Custom feels premium but templates are faster. For a service business, does it actually matter in 2026?

I am building a course and debating the tech stack. WordPress with an LMS plugin gives me control. All in one platforms are faster. For those who have tried both, which would you choose today and why?
