What productivity system do you actually stick to?

Featured Replies

I have tried Notion, Trello, bullet journaling, and just winging it. Nothing sticks for more than two weeks. What system do you actually use every day without it becoming another chore?

A notebook and a red pen. Three must do items every morning. If it is not done by five pm, I do not eat dinner until it is. Brutal but effective. All the apps just gave me more places to hide.

I use a simple weekly review every Sunday. Not a complex system. Just what worked, what did not, and what matters this week. Takes fifteen minutes and keeps me sane.

Systems only work if they match your energy patterns, not your ambition. I am terrible in themornings so I do admin then and creative work after lunch. The tool matters less than the timing.

Same struggle for years. What finally stuck was treating productivity like a client deliverable. If I would not miss a client deadline, why do I miss my own?

I tried a lot of them and found something handy. My girlfriend actually got me into it. She has a physical planner. It has a goals tracker in it as well as other things. She got me a really nice one for my birthday and it has kept me focused and organized with my solo projects, work, school, everything in life basically.

Ive tried a whole bunch of productivity hacks (most didnt work or were hard to stick with) but I tend to find what works best is 90-minute work blocks, I produce 2x output vs 60-minute blocks. Counterintuitive but consistent. Try it!
