What do you do in the first two hours that sets up your day? I am struggling with consistency and need realistic inspiration.

I always start my day off by having a coffee outside in the sun or at least where I can get fresh air if the sun is now out. I will sit out there 10 to 30 minutes depending on the temp. This helps wake me up and get my brain going. Then I will show and brainstorm while I am in there. I have a small breakfast after this before getting to work!

Comparison is the thief of joy but also a terrible business strategy. Her chapter 20 looks different from your chapter 2.

My work routine: Wake up. Coffee. Start working within 30 minutes. No journaling. No meditation. No cold showers. Just execution. I have watched youtube videos of people that do crazy morning routines, but at the end of the day... you accomplish tasks by working on them, and if you fill your morning with non-work related stuff, I feel it is a waste of your best energy when your mind is most alert in the morning. I find if I do non-work tasks in the morning and then procrastinate till after lunch time, by the time I get into actual solid working mode, my mind is too tired to focus.

Then work. The routine is not procrastination. It is preparation. Different people need different starts.

I have tried morning routines but I am not a morning person. My best work happens at night. Should I force a morning routine or lean into my natural rhythm?

I am up at 5:30 AM naturally. My routine works because it matches my biology. If you are a night owl, build a wind-down routine, not a morning one. Consistency matters more than timing.

Morning is admin and email. Night is creative work. Two productive blocks instead of one. My morning is not about peak performance. It is about clearing the deck for deep work later.

I might try splitting my day instead of forcing everything into morning. Admin when I am groggy. Creative when I am sharp.

Test, track, adjust. I am trying the split-day approach this month. Will report on whether my creative output i
