Does anyone use osTicket?

Featured Replies

I was looking at support ticket systems and came across osTicket. It is free and opensource which I prefer personally, anything to cut the budget and have more control.

Anyways, I am wondering if anyone here has used it. I have no experience with it, I am just wondering if it is any good.

I have not personally used it but I know someone who has and it seems to be a great option for small businesses that don't have a lot to spend. You can play around with it, it is free like you said. I would just test it out for yourself.

Automated my onboarding. Client books, contract sends, invoice generates, welcome email delivers. I do nothing.

Yeah I am going to have to. I watched a few videos on it over on YouTube and it seems like it could be useful but I would have to pay to scale it up fairly early on if it gets used enough.

Have you tried it out? I am curious to see if you liked it or not. I am actually curious how much service it provides on the backend in terms of management. I feel like a lot of these ticket software programs are capped by how much they can actually handle.

I was looking into this a few years ago for work. The program our office uses is terrible but even though it ended up functioning better and most people preferred it, they ended up staying with the same ticket manager we have.

I have heard so many cases of this. Companies are stuck in the past relying on "standard programs" that charge too much and don't offer enough features. So many are afraid to branch out and try something new. God forbid if it is Opensource! 🤣🤣

I did, yeah. I was running into issues with it. I am still trying to get it to work properly but the interface is really nice and easy to navigate which is good. I am just not sure why the notifications are broken or why the tickets aren't always being validated. Might be an issue with my server.

Free = bad still in some people's minds. Where it should matter, they don't seem to care.

Like if an app is free, they think nothing of it.
