Best site, plugin, etc. to track stats?
I want a better way to track clicks, bounce rate, traffic, and so on. I have a few WordPress sites but I also have a few that are not WordPress. I would honestly prefer to just have everything done in one place for me for all my sites. Is there anything out there like this that isn't expensive... preferably free?

Does anyone use osTicket?
I have not personally used it but I know someone who has and it seems to be a great option for small businesses that don't have a lot to spend. You can play around with it, it is free like you said. I would just test it out for yourself.

Should I set up a website or just use social accounts?
Yes, this. I was going to say the same thing. Websites for "people" are seldom used these days cause everyone just goes on social media. People will want to interact with you and see what you are up to without having to click through pages.

How do you handle imposter syndrome when charging premium rates
Impostor syndrome is a form of anxiety and it can suck wrestling around with self-doubt and lack of value in yourself. What you have to remember is that anxiety is just that, anxiety. These thoughts and voices have no real value. Don't try to avoid them, listen to them and let them know you know they are there and then move on. It gets easier with practice! Soon enough the thoughts will come and you won't even react.

How do you stay motivated when results are slow
Motivation requires goals. Instead of focusing just on money, look to other things to set goals for. Maybe traffic, clicks, updates, etc. etc. You will better be able to manage your expectations if you set realistic goals too.

I have the motivation, just not the idea.
Some people struggle with this. I tend to come up with all sorts of ideas but no real way to execute them. Maybe try doing a brain storm like what we were taught in school. I am shocked by it but it has helped me out a number of times!

Creating a YouTube channel in 2026 - What should I know?
A lot of people that do YouTube channels wish they had started sooner. I think most do. Don't think too much about wasted time and just keep at it. Something will eventually stick. Even if it is a smaller channel, you can still reach the goal of becoming a partner and earning from your videos.

Can Grok help with workflow and bouncing off ideas?
Yeah you can use Grok without being a paying member. You need to pay to have access to the better model and more features. Basic Grok, you just need a standard account that is in good standing (so not suspended or anything).

Can Grok help with workflow and bouncing off ideas?
I think Grok is useful. I was playing around with it when it was still free. I didn't put a whole lot of time into using it as a tool for ideas but the few times I did, it helped me crack through some rough patches I was having with an idea I had. I would imagine now that it is updated and a paid feature, it has probably improved even more.

Does e-mail marketing still work?
I actually wondered this myself. I know it was some sort of tried and true method but I seldom see people recommending it anymore so it made me thing it was dated. I am sure there is still a purpose for it and it can still work for some people but the handful of times I tried it, I saw very little feedback. People didn't open the emails at all and if they did, such a low percentage clicked it wasn't worth my time!

Is raising prices the only way to earn more or are there smarter paths
It depends on what niche you are in. You can branch out a bit more. Maybe compile a new client base on your own. Find people, businesses, or websites that you feel could use your freelance skills. I have heard of some people landing good pay via news sites where you just cover local or national news. The reporter gets the details and you just write the article.

How to get a post to go viral on X for marketing purposes?
I have seen companies do it, big and small. They will post something witty or funny and it will get massive amounts of impressions. I know the platform favors political stuff which I avoid all together but I don't think you need to get political to see something go viral. I am just curious if there is some kind of method to this. Is there a way to get the algorithm to favor your post and boost it at all?

How to I regain lost website traffic?
Google did some massive changes during the pandemic. I am not entire sure what they did but I have heard and seen many, many others reporting the same thing. What niche are your sites in? I t seems like certain ones got hit harder than others like James mentioned. I am not really sure how to fix this as I am struggling to build up traffic myself.

Staying motivated when you're working solo
A co-working space? I can't say I ever even heard of it. I mostly just do my work at home in my free time. I work a set schedule (4 days a week as a nurse) so I am able to have 3 days where I can focus on my other projects. When I am feeling sluggish I will take my laptop to a Starbucks and work in a corner somewhere. Just a change in scenery gets my brain flowing again.

Has AI impacted your freelance work?
I noticed in the last few years I have had a sharp decline in clients. I was once working with 5 to 10 people at any given time and now I am down to only having 2 regulars and and extra person every now and then. It sucks because I know my work is good and people are always satisfied with it. But I guess free is better and people would rather just us AI to generate the content. One of the things I offered was product descriptions. I don't have any clients for that anymore at all. I know this has to do with AI but I can't compete with it. You can't really compete with something that is free! Has anyone else noticed AI impacting their freelance work?

Creating a YouTube channel in 2026 - What should I know?
I have tried a few different YouTube channels and nothing ever worked out for me. Maybe I was being impatient? Some say it can take months or years before you see any real growth. I feel like if I am going to put that much time and energy into something, I would rather see smaller growth sooner rather than waiting a long time. From what I have read though, you really have to stick with it even if you are seeing no views. I will tell you the one channel I made for a forum I used to run (to help boost traffic) took a good 3 years to see any traction but one video I made got to over 70k so I was proud of it.

From freelancer to agency. Was it worth the stress or should I stay small
I never considered it as a freelancer. I figured if I ever got into a position where work was too much to handle, I would just scale back. I feel like a lot of people think they NEED to expand but if you can sustain growth and revenue, and you don't really need to expand as you a financially set... Why would you risk it? I know I wouldn't.

Hiya! :)
Hi everyone. I just joined. I am coming over from another forum that got shut down a few months ago. I tried getting back into using Reddit and I just don't like it. I prefer forums. Anyways, I have been doing freelance work for about 10 years now. I also ran my one Etsy shop for awhile selling handmade items but that never amounted to anything substantial. I would like to get to a position where I can quit my 9 to 5 and put all my time and energy into my own projects online but I know it will take time.
