Have you ever used Matomo for your websites?

Featured Replies

I am curious. I brought it up in another thread only after just recently finding out not a lot of people seem to know about it. Most people seem to just use built in plugins on WordPress or other third party options for websites built custom or elsewhere. What I like about Matomo is I can set up the website and track all my domains in one place instead of having to rely on different platforms and metrics.

I have not but I am interested! I just looked it up and it sounds very useful. I am just not sure how to actually set this up.

Is it hard to do? Are they any vids on YouTube that walk you through the process?

Yeah I used it for a bit. I was having trouble with it getting accurate analytics from 2 of my sites so I ended up stopping the use of it after a while. It worked great for my other ones when I still used it. It was a pain for me to set up though.

I dabble with self-hosted platforms but I can't say I ever tried one for analytics. I might have to look into this.

I would love to be able to just have everything in one place. Would make it easier to compare numbers too.

There are plenty. I was messing around with this 3 or so years ago and learned how to set it up watching YouTube videos lol I ended up moving away from the platform because they changed a feature that I was making use of.

I have for a bit and it was good-ish. I had some issues with it. I like a real simplified variation of seeing web stats and statistics and this was a bit too in depth for me. I couldn't make use of all the information so just moved away from it.
