How to get a post to go viral on X for marketing purposes?

Featured Replies

I have seen companies do it, big and small. They will post something witty or funny and it will get massive amounts of impressions. I know the platform favors political stuff which I avoid all together but I don't think you need to get political to see something go viral. I am just curious if there is some kind of method to this. Is there a way to get the algorithm to favor your post and boost it at all?

From what I have come to understand, you want to be verified. They seldom boost accounts that aren't paying into the website.

So if you want to see better results, do the monthly verification charge. I think it is something like $8 or $10 a month, I don't remember. Someone I know online bought me a few months worth and I noticed right away my posts on there got so much more reach.

‎The algorithm rewards engagement, comments, shares, saves that's what gets your post pushed.

‎From what I've seen, the stuff that works best has a strong hookin the first line, stays short enough to not get cut off, and asks for a reaction. Even a simple "agree or disagree?" gets people typing.

‎Post timing matters too. Check your analytics and find the window when your audience is actually scrolling and reply to comments when they come in the algorithm notices.

‎Do all that consistently and you'll get more shots at something catching fire. No guarantees but the odds get better.

I have a fairly big account on there, nearly 500k followers. What I have noticed is that when you prioritize replying to replies, it gives you a boost. Also like @Cozmic said, you want to be verified. It is worth the monthly cost if it is something you want to be successful with.

Stopped trying to go viral. Started trying to help one person per post. Ironically, engagement tripled.

Yeah the price did go up a bit from when it started and from what I understand, not everyone is making good money through their program anymore but it is still a good way to boost your account regardless.

Posted daily for ninety days. Engagement was mediocre. Then one post hit. Two million views. Four hundred leads. Twelve clients. Consistency meets luck.
