I’ve been trying to improve how I work with different tools at my job, and I’ve started getting interested in prompt engineering. I’m looking for good courses that are either free or affordable. My main aim is to use prompts to help generate scripts for software I use, especially since some of them support custom Python scripting. I don’t have a coding background, so I’m hoping to learn a practical, prompt-based way to automate tasks and maybe add small features without getting deep into programming.

I don’t agree..you need to start building interest in your work early, or no one will know it exists later. Blog, grow a mailing list, and engage with your niche communities consistently.

Free is only basic model tbh

I’d probably go for digital products or online courses since they don’t need much startup cost. You can use a lot of free tools, and honestly, you end up learning a lot just by building things as you go.

Honestly, I stopped focusing only on marketplaces. For AI automation and RPA, a lot of good clients do not even come from Upwork or Fiverr anymore. I started getting better results from direct outreach and LinkedIn where businesses actually need automation solutions, not just cheap freelancers.

I spent around $700 promoting my YouTube channel through Google Ads and YouTube Studio, and gained nearly 11k subscribers. Once I stopped running ads, new videos barely got 30 views, and almost none came from subscribers. Engagement vanished fast. From my experience, ads can inflate numbers, but they don't always build a real audience.

If I had to pick one right now, I’d probably go with Runway. It’s not perfect for full long videos, but for building solid scenes and then stitching them into something longer, it’s the most reliable for me.

I use it the same way mostly for ideas and when I’m stuck, but I always add my own touch before posting. It works best as support, not replacement.
