I know this is going to sound a bit vague but I know others have reached this point where they needed to take on contract workers or salary workers, depending on the niche.

I am not in a position to be doing this but I am curious if anyone else has found that they needed to hire someone for specific work or duties for their business. Was it a hard decision? Did it pay off?

I never had to. I work according to what I can manage. I have had to pause and decline work from being overbooked. It happens.

I don't really work in a niche that you expand it to other people.

I was actually on the other end of this and got hired by someone that outsourced for work. It was just for 3 months but it was a learning experience for us both. At first, there was tons of work and then it tapered off but I still made the same pay throughout.

I have had to hire people before but for temporary work. It was more or less getting some websites set up, custom code and that. Stuff I would not be able to to myself. I am not sure I would ever be in a position to hire people full time but I think the "right time" is different for everyone.

I think you know when it is the right time when you find yourself too overworked and unable to keep up with weekly tasks. If you business starts seeing a loss because of the workload, it is usually a good sign!

I agree with this but you don't want to wait until it comes to this. Contract work exists for a reason and there are plenty of people looking for it online. You can always do a one month trial and see how it goes if you think you could use some help.
