  1. Yes and no. I think people most impacted are artists and writers. A lot of people that used to outsource for things like descriptions and articles rely on AI more now. I don't think this is a good thing. I noticed people tend to figure out AI is writing the content and shy away from it.
  2. Just find posts you have interest in and respond to them. This will gain followers. When it comes to your own posts, ask questions. Post polls. Give people some sort of call to action. A lot of popular posts on social media end up being rage bait and political nonsense, this is what you want to avoid.
  3. I noticed there was a lot of job listings prior to 2020. There was always someone looking to hire people to work from their home offices. After the pandemic hit, a lot of people ended up working from home anyways. But since AI took off and became mainstream, it seems like a lot of freelance and remote work disappeared. Unless you are working for yourself, your options are few and far between. Did anyone else notice this or is it just me?
  4. Is there a way to prevent this? I mean I know a buddy of mine hosts his own and has had power outages but they don't impact his sites. Maybe this is only if you have an in-house server?
  5. I was looking into this a bit more and it seems like thumbnails are fairly important so make sure you are making quality ones. There are some sites that help you make them. I am looking into Canva. It has built in AI. It seems like a good option!
  6. I applied for it and got approved. That was easier than I thought. I know last time I tried, for some reason it wouldn't work but this was a number of years ago. I was looking into other options too so figured I would share what I found. ClickBank, ShareASale, and CJ Affiliate are regarded as good options outside of Amazon Associates.
  7. The costs of all my sites has gone up every year and I have moved around to different hosting companies but everyone tells me I just need to self-host and it will save me tons of money. Right now I am spending $670 a month just on hosting. A friend of mine said I could be spending less than $100 if I did it all myself. Does anyone self-host? What are the pros and cons of it? (Outside from saving money)
  8. I made a YouTube channel maybe 5 or so years ago to boost traffic to a website of mine. I had no expectations for it. I wasn't doing it to gain subs or views, but rather redirect traffic. What ended up happening is 3 of my 10 videos hit over 50k views and I got 500+ subs. I will tell you this did not happen right away. It took a good 2 years before anything got more than 100 views. It sucks but you need to be prepared for that. Don't make it your goal to earn on YouTube. Make it your goal to improve over time and enjoy the process.
  9. I agree with this 100%. You want .com if you can get it but .co and .io are also great options and often far cheaper and easier to obtain. Outside of those, .net is still valuable but it depends on your niche. Choosing the name really comes down to what you are creating. If you can post your company/brand name, I can see if I can help! :)
  10. I played around with a number of tools and I can tell you that Gamma and Jasper are among the worst ones. Gamma is an AI powerpoint generator and it is lousy compared to others I have used. The images are generic and I noticed formatting is almost always off. Jasper on the other hand is for writing and you can tell it is AI generated. It often repeats itself or delivers the same bland phrases over and over again.
  11. I am talking about using AI generated pictures on websites, blogs, forums, social media accounts, and places like YouTube. I have heard people say that they don't rank as well or do as good in terms of SEO and I am a bit hesitant to put in the time to do them. I would prefer to have my own pictures but I don't want to pay for them nor have the time to take them myself. I figured AI is the next best thing rather than recycling stuff I find online.
  12. I think it depends on the niche. People still buy them. I have a friend that runs his own health blog, forum, and online shop. He offers 5 different e-books. I think they are all $10 and all focus on health, weight loss, and things of that nature. He does very well for himself. I think last we talked about it he said he averaged 20 e-book sales a week. That is $800+ a month just from his e-books which is impressive!
  13. Having done some freelance work setting up websites for people, you'd be surprised by the amount of people that want things done for as little as possible. I had someone ask to set up a a WordPress powered site from scratch for $50. That would easily be 5+ hours worth of work for me. I make a point to tell people I do not do anything for less than $15 an hour and if it requires any kind of custom work, it is $25 an hour.
  14. How do you get an Amazon Associates account? I was considering doing that for some of my sites to hopefully bring in some revenue. I know a lot of people do it for blogs. I am just not sure how to actually get one started. I am also curious about other affiliate marketing. I heard it doesn't perform as well today as it did say 10 years ago in terms of revenue.

Hello people. I have been looking around at different forums and joining them, hoping to get some help, tips, and make some new friends. I have several websites and social media accounts I manage and I would love to do something with them all that is profitable. I am just not sure where to start. That is why I joined! I hope everyone is having a fantastic day. I will take a look around the forum and make some threads, hopefully get some feedback :)
