What numbers are key for advertisements?

Featured Replies

How much of a following/reach should you have on each social network/platform to be appealing to businesses? In the sense that you want them to pay you to post ads for them.

I have been trying to figure this out for the past week and am coming across mixed numbers.

It really depends. I guess if you want a bigger payout, having more interactions and a larger following is best.

You don't need a massive following though. I have seen people make $500+ a month on X alone with accounts that have 20k followers.

It isn't so much a set number as it is about reach and interactions.

If a company is looking to advertise through your socials now, they are not so much looking for a larger number as they are looking for virality.

Every platform is different and every company is different. This is why you won't find any good indicators. If you get a lot of interactions and views on your social accounts based on the averages of each platform, you are in a good position. Just look up the averages of each platform.

GZip is right. Every platform, business, etc. are different. Like in terms of what they want to see to payout for advertisements. It is harder to get clear metrics because a lot of people inflate their accounts with fake likes, views, and shares. They do this in order to make their accounts more available to advertisers but they know about this now so they pay less and want more proof.

Think about it from a business' perspective.

If you wanted to sell a product and reach out to people to talk about said product, what would you look for?

I am not sure how metrics work on each platform but for something like X, a smaller business probably looks for a decent following (20k+) with active posts (10+ comments, 2k+ likes, etc.).
