Yes, of course. I know a lot of people that used to frequent specific sites, blogs, etc. for community experiences. Now they just use social platforms. Reddit took a lot of traffic from forums and killed many of them. Social media did the same to blogs.

Well yeah, plenty of people do it! The key isn't to focus on AI but rather to leverage it as a multiplier for human capabilities. So take tasks people would normally do, and have AI do it them. So this will cut down on time and allow you to make more content.

I think it is because no one offers quite what they offer. If you look at other similar services, they tend to offer some of what Hootsuite offers or they do separate packages for different perks and tools. With them, you get the complete package and a lot of people prefer to pay for something like this.

This tends to be the best approach so you hit all the holidays without actually relying on them. Some businesses do a sale for every little holiday and it ends up becoming annoying, especially when people are getting emails almost weekly about holiday specials lol

Aside from buying ads and having platforms like Facebook run them for you, what other avenues would you say work for promoting a website to sell products or services? I am trying to do a cost comparison and output guide in an attempt to help some of my readers on a blog I run.

If you can afford it, you can try reaching out to YouTubers and Streamers for promotions. I don't know what they typically charge but smaller creators likely don't charge too much. This can help if you can find a good niche and collection of creators to target with promotional pitches.

Some people are able to figure this out by noticing patterns and watching numbers but it does make it a lot easier to just have AI scope it all out for you. Let me know if you figured anything out about your accounts.

I did, yeah. I was running into issues with it. I am still trying to get it to work properly but the interface is really nice and easy to navigate which is good. I am just not sure why the notifications are broken or why the tickets aren't always being validated. Might be an issue with my server.

Just keep tracking things and lower prices in 6 to 8 weeks if you don't notice anything moving the needle. Just do it by small amounts. And make sure to consider the seasonal stuff coming up. A lot of places run deals mid September through December.

I am still seeing limited edition stuff at the stores. I think it would have been a good marketing strategy to play into this but I completely forgot about it until June by which time it was already to late to actually plan for something. Where I work didn't plan for it either so I didn't have that as a reminder.

I don't think that AI is ruining the internet, I think people are. And this has been a trend long before AI was. Think back to before the normalization of social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. Most every day people just didn't spend that much time online. Not everyone and their mother spend hours a day online and often add no value to social platforms. The enters Vine and later TikTok with short form videos. They have done studies on how it impacts the brain to watch this content and it is not good. It is making people dumber. I don't want to get all political. It is just something that annoys me. I see people complain about AI so much these days and they don't remember what the internet was like before social media platforms blew up.

I know some people rely on AI to post content to their socials but I have seen so many people complain about it. Especially on X and Instagram. Like people would unfollow if they catch wind of AI. I would avoid doing stuff like this. There are AI systems that can analyze your posts on various platforms and help you understand which content does best so you can focus in on that. I have played around with some of the free options and they do a decent job. Sprout Social is probably my favorite one.

I know this is going to sound a bit vague but I know others have reached this point where they needed to take on contract workers or salary workers, depending on the niche. I am not in a position to be doing this but I am curious if anyone else has found that they needed to hire someone for specific work or duties for their business. Was it a hard decision? Did it pay off?

It is mostly down to Google being Google. I have heard of this happening so many times. I understand why certain things get moved or switched, especially when a search demands the latest information... But I have also seen Google recommend outdated and even wrong information over something newer and correct simply just because the site was newer which is a shame.

A physical place like this could do well in the right location but with the amount of stores I have seen get shut down in the last 3 or 4 years, I would never take a risk on something physical. Even in my line of work (I work for a small tech company), the owner rents the office space and half the people work from home. Cuts costs and not as much of a risk.

Something else to consider are sales and deals. You can offer those without dipping below your lowest acceptable price point. A lot of people price slightly above to account for sales in the future. This is why I went as high as 30%.

This was my assumption based on the wording. But it can apply to most social network sites, my answer I mean. You just have to stick with it and give people a reason to stick with your content.

Usually sales and discounts work the best. This only applies to people selling items though. If your e-mail is more about getting people to read or engage in something, it is a lot harder to get them to do it.

It seems like finding work online has become harder since 2020. I know the pandemic messed a lot of things up but I didn't see quite the struggle before this. I used to use a few different sites when looking for myself or to help a friend but they are gone. I don't know what happened to them. Worked better than the ones you mentioned. At this point, just think of what you would want to do (a title for the job) and just start searching local businesses that would have such a position that may need to be filled. Even if they aren't hiring, chances are they will keep you on a backlog.

The same way anyone else builds a fan base. You have to be consistent with what you do and offer quality that people enjoy. View it through the lens of someone making music. If you want people to listen and share your music to others, you have to give them an experience that they can't find elsewhere or one that is similar to one (another band for example) that they already enjoy.

Take whatever you think is the lowest end and increase it from 10% to 30% and start there. This will help you avoid that but if you want to ensure you aren't underselling yourself, James gave you good advice!

I can see this. I think the first increase was in the late 90s/early 00s. People started using platforms like eBay so online shopping and spending was picking up. Not everyone was online though. Then video games became a thing you could play online. Everything kind of compiled.

The market for second-hand games is changing for sure. Imagine if you had this business idea and it took off a number of years ago, it would probably be having issues now. Although you are creating a platform so your main revenue would be from ads unlike Gamestop. Either way, there is a lot ot consider!

Yeah I am going to have to. I watched a few videos on it over on YouTube and it seems like it could be useful but I would have to pay to scale it up fairly early on if it gets used enough.
