So I found a domain I am interested in for a website idea I have. Normally, I wouldn't spend more than $20 a year on a domain with a renewal being under $50. This one however is much higher. For the first year it would be $35 but the second year and beyond, it would be $96. I am not sure if I want to spend that much a year on a domain I may not even end up sticking with.

I did this before and I found it to be helpful at first but eventually, it didn't even matter. Today though, like others have said, it doesn't make a difference. I would only recommend it if you bought a domain/site recently and rebranded/named it.

I was going to ask the same thing. I found that some are better than others. Some can actually hurt traffic too so it is important to know the kinds of ads and placement that will be involved. Some allow you to choose, others will put the ads where it thinks are best.

My brother does a lot of builds for people as a side hustle. He draws out the plans for them and the supplies needed and then just tosses it in a file. I mentioned to him that he should try offering those plans to people online that want to do DIY projects. A lot of what he builds are fences, gates, decks, sheds, and greenhouses. I feel like he could charge $3 to $5 for these and make decent passive money. I mentioned the idea to him and he said he can't be bothered doing all that but I can if I want to. So I am thinking of trying it. That being said, I am not sure if I should use my own site to sell them or use an already established webstore. What do you guys think?

The top ones are health, reviews, and tech. I think right now specifically, things that target information about those weight loss shots, reviews of phones, and AI tech are performing the best.

These days, I don't think the back end software even matters so much. There are so many platforms like WordPress now that allow you to build sites without coding experience. I am sure Google favors some of them over others but it is way down the list of priorities for the search engine.

This is absolutely something you should have done while you still had growing traffic. It is going to be harder coming at it from a loss now. I would recommend finding a way to offer something behind a subscriber wall. One where an email has to be provided. Maybe put some of your best content behind a sub wall like a lot of the bigger platforms do.

This probably plays a role too. Certain niches already perform better than others and since that is the case, some have a greater probability of rebounding lost traffic. I wish I knew what killed my old blog but I never figured it out and gave up with it 4 years ago.

I think it once did help boost things but know that search engines separate bots from actual real traffic, it almost seems like it would do more harm than good.

I never had to. I work according to what I can manage. I have had to pause and decline work from being overbooked. It happens. I don't really work in a niche that you expand it to other people.

I offer services so I don't run sales ever. I keep set prices. I will offer discounts for repeat customers if they need a bit of budgeting help but that is about all I do. I know I could offer sales but with my services in decline because of AI, I honestly can't afford it.

Yes it is possible. It takes a lot of time though. Most people say a good 3 to 9 months. You have to go through everything manually. Remove anything low-quality or outdated. Find and remove duplicate pages. Focus on high-interest posts that previously saw the most traffic.

It doesn't directly improve organic search rankings. I want to start with saying that because I think people are confused by what paid traffic is actually for. So it will not help in this case and it would not be worth spending time or money on.

This was the first thing I noticed decline a lot. It sucks because I was making good money doing it and enjoyed it. I don't have a single client anymore for product description even though I was great at it. People would just rather use AI now cause it is free.

Ohh! Right! I guess I just never heard it worded this way. We have a local Starbucks that is fairly large inside and always has people on their laptops in there working on stuff. I am guessing it is a lot of writers and things of that nature.

Have you tried it out? I am curious to see if you liked it or not. I am actually curious how much service it provides on the backend in terms of management. I feel like a lot of these ticket software programs are capped by how much they can actually handle.

I want a better way to track clicks, bounce rate, traffic, and so on. I have a few WordPress sites but I also have a few that are not WordPress. I would honestly prefer to just have everything done in one place for me for all my sites. Is there anything out there like this that isn't expensive... preferably free?

I have not personally used it but I know someone who has and it seems to be a great option for small businesses that don't have a lot to spend. You can play around with it, it is free like you said. I would just test it out for yourself.

Yes, this. I was going to say the same thing. Websites for "people" are seldom used these days cause everyone just goes on social media. People will want to interact with you and see what you are up to without having to click through pages.

Impostor syndrome is a form of anxiety and it can suck wrestling around with self-doubt and lack of value in yourself. What you have to remember is that anxiety is just that, anxiety. These thoughts and voices have no real value. Don't try to avoid them, listen to them and let them know you know they are there and then move on. It gets easier with practice! Soon enough the thoughts will come and you won't even react.

Motivation requires goals. Instead of focusing just on money, look to other things to set goals for. Maybe traffic, clicks, updates, etc. etc. You will better be able to manage your expectations if you set realistic goals too.

Some people struggle with this. I tend to come up with all sorts of ideas but no real way to execute them. Maybe try doing a brain storm like what we were taught in school. I am shocked by it but it has helped me out a number of times!

A lot of people that do YouTube channels wish they had started sooner. I think most do. Don't think too much about wasted time and just keep at it. Something will eventually stick. Even if it is a smaller channel, you can still reach the goal of becoming a partner and earning from your videos.

Yeah you can use Grok without being a paying member. You need to pay to have access to the better model and more features. Basic Grok, you just need a standard account that is in good standing (so not suspended or anything).
